What we do

Couples therapy with bodies in the room

Tarisha is a relationship and sex therapist with over a decade of clinical practice. She holds a Master’s in Counselling and is a member of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC). Her training includes Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples (Levels 1 and 2), Hakomi somatic psychotherapy, Gottman method, biodynamic breathwork facilitation, somatic trauma work, and sex therapy.

Most couples therapy works on the conversation. We work on the conversation, the body, the desire, and the pattern. The work happens in the room. It also happens between sessions, in your bed, on your weekends, in the choices you keep making.

Sessions are 75 minutes. We meet weekly or fortnightly depending on what your work needs.

This is for couples who:

  • Are stuck in a recurring fight or pattern
  • Feel the spark has gone but love is still there
  • Have desire discrepancy or sexual disconnection
  • Are healing from an affair (after stabilisation)
  • Want depth, not just communication tools
